Monday Night Model Session

I've been away for a few days, had to escape the cold and relax while visiting my dear friend Sandy. So I went to sunny Florida to hear the sound of the ocean waves gently hitting the lovely white beaches . . .

then returning to a winter storm watch with snow and ice brrrrrrrrr!
Erin was our lovely model for the last Monday night open model session that I attended a couple of weeks ago. My camera battery died so this pose is off a little from my painting but it's close.

This is my 3 hour painting of Erin, I would have loved to do her full figure but I didn't have enough time and my canvas was not big enough.

Your painting turned out well with an excellent likeness! Glad you got to escape the cold for a bit. I tried the same thing the previous week but the temps in Florida were actually much like what I left in Boston! It did warm up by the end of the week but it was still nice to get away. Cheer up...Spring is coming!

Thanks Paula, it was in the 60's when we got there and we went to the beach in sweatshirts but it was in the upper 70's when I left.
I feel Spring right around the corner.

Hi Rhonda!

Glad you had a little get away in sunny Florida! I love it there and never better than in winter.

The weather prediction for NYC this weekend will be in the 40's to 50's and cloudy. Hope we don;t get a lot of snow tomorrow!

Do you have an art show this weekend?

Hi Pat,
I'm going to attend a workshop on Sat & Sun at the Art Student's League with Everett Raymond Kinstler. I'm very excited about it. I attended the same workshop last year and it was wonderful.
