Happy Holidays and Baby Mallory

This is my unofficial shadow shot for Sunday (LOL). We were riding in the Great Smokey Mountains last Fall when I snapped this picture. I hope everyone enjoys the Holidays with family and friends!
This painting is little Mallory, what a cutie. The challenge on this painting was, of course, getting a likeness but also using a magnifying glass and tiny brush to get the detail. I think I need to paint BIGGER!!

Hi Gina,

She does have a cute smile, she looks so hugable! The reason I took the shot in the first place was to participate in Hey Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday but I never made it then I decided to use it on our Christmas cards.

Hi Paz,

Thanks for your comments--glad you like my shadow shot (I took about 4 and this was the best). It probably is too late by now.

Hi Kitten,
You are so sweet, I just love your blog (just in case I've never told you that). Thanks for your comments too! Let me know when you start researching again.

That is an excellent portrait of baby Mallory. Very well done with great color and value work. Bravo.
Love the shadow shot too.
What did we do with ourselves before blogging?

Your Christmas card is one of the most creative I have ever seen and seems to be an apt self portrait based on love of biking! How lucky to have travelled by motorcycle in the way that you have! Ans Mallory is really going to love that portrait of her someday...she is a little cutie! Happy New Year!

Hi Pat,

Thanks so much Pat, painting little Leo would be a perfect painting! He is so sweet and adorable.

Thanks Paula,

The Christmas card was fun to do, I love to take pictures while on the bike. I'm already thinking about motorcycle trips next summer.
Baby Mallory's parents were thrilled with it and hopefully she will like as well someday.
