Heather

24 x 36
Rhonda Hartis Smith © 2008

This post is in honor of Heather, a lovely young lady that is going to be married on Saturday. This painting was commissioned by her mother from a favorite photo that she had of her when she was only three. Not only was she a beautiful little girl, which I hope I captured, but she has grown up to be a beautiful person as well. Congrats to Heather and Dusty as their wedding day approaches and on their future together.

Hi Rhonda!
OH, Oh, time passes... Beautiful painting!

I’ll finally get some days off this year; not much, just from Friday night (September 5th) through Monday morning (September 15th). But I don’t leave you empty hands: a beautiful beach and lots of champagne wait for you at Blogtrotter. Enjoy! ;)

Adorable-looking little girl. I think you've captured everything in the painting. She and her mom and rest of family are going to love it.

Job well done.

You certainly DID capture what a beautiful little girl she was. How could they NOT love it? You are SO talented, Rhonda!

Thanks Blogtrotter, I'll have to check out your latest trip--I think you travel more than I do and to more exotic places!

Hi Suzanne,
Her mother does love it and Heather does too. This one was a challenge for me but I enjoyed it.
Thanks,
Rhonda

Hi Paz,
So far everyone has been very positive about it so that makes me feel good. When I was in Chicago, I had my new camera and I was trying really hard to get pigeons to smile at me the way they do to you. Well, mine just turned and walked away so I got a great shot of his behind! Maybe someday. . .

Hi Sandra,

Thanks so much! One of my painting friends said she really liked it from the knees down--not sure how to take that (ha). No she was very encouraging and gave me lots of good input.

Hi Brenda,
Fortunately they loved it, they saw it a couple of times during the process and gave me input as far as what they wanted. That helps a lot, to know you're going in the right direction.

LOL! You're too funny. Keep having fun with your new camera. That's really cool. I have a feeling that you've captured awesome photos even if from behind. ;-)
